When I mentioned my idea to change careers some days later to my husband as we nibbled on our weekly chili and fajitas, I listed this amount as one of the attractions for a new career. His reaction was, "Well... I hate to tell you..." It was then I realized I already make more than high-end fund developers.
Still, the idea is intriguing. Many organizations want to hire fund developers. Fund developers deal day-after-day with things that are more human, and therefore for me automatically more interesting, than silicon chips.
I've been watching several blogs by tech writers and thinking to myself that I could never blog about my experiences as a tech writer. Judging by the tech writer blogs I've read, neither do other people. It's rather like writing about the sap rising or the grass growing or water evaporing or paint drying.
Fund development, though, there's a career with greener prospects blog-wise if not with actual recompense.
So that's two classes in my queue of desires: Spanish language and fund development.
